Lets talk about something cool like internet war strategies for taking out mainstream established physics.

I'm down. How about organized assaults on popular Science forums?

I'm down. How about organized assaults on popular Science forums? that is one idea. But I was thinking more like long term stuff. I figure we have the internet. Most young people use the internet. Over the course of decades we could win by simply creating the war, heck even building a myth. Like on my blogs I simply rewrote the history of the proton. And I sneak in some rhetoric. Like in the past few blogs I've been saying "a war is coming" and "we're engaged in an interpretive war" I even toyed with CERN's billion dollar restructured image. At the forum I invaded I made quick distinctions between my Universe in which light and gravity is mediated by one and the same supposed physical entity and their Universe which is all confused. I also started introducing the Newton's problem of the mediator that no one has ever seemed to figure out. People don't even know about that stuff. So stuff like this. Long term strategic plans as opposed to the 'shock and awe' operations.

AWESOME. Yeah this is a fantastic idea. How about in the "Critiquing the Mainstream" sub-board we encapsulate our best rhetoric? I really like that idea of coming up with the most fundamental distinctions between our rational, mechanical universe the the abstract mathematical universe of relativity and quantum.
But I honestly don't think that coordinated attacks are shortsighted. They may be if we aren't truly organized but think about this: we all spend hours every week (sometimes everyday) posting in the RSM & RH groups on facebook... why don't we dedicate just 30 minutes of time every couple of days bombarding the comments section of mainstream articles or youtube videos with our propaganda? Not a rational debate, but just rhetoric and catch phrases to get the masses interested?
I'd also like to see more image macros created/collected here.

I like your ideas.
How does one upload an image stored on one's laptop here???

alright thanks.
Yeah I like the idea of doing quick bombardments of rhetoric. The problem with debate is that it can take a lot of energy.
I spent about three days going all out with debate and rhetoric at this one page and I was exhausted because it was me against everyone.
Since then I've been kind of doing just like you said. And that way one doesn't have to worry about responding and getting into an endless dialogue.
And I like the idea of spreading out and getting things stirred up away from the RSM & RH nests.

Both the long term and short term are important.
Rather than making bold statements that you have to then defend, simply ask questions that the proponents of theories must answer. In many cases, they will have no answers because no answers and/or evidence yet exists. The simply unanswerable question then plants a seed of doubt in their minds in the short term which over the long term will produce a crop of new worldviews and new paradigms.
I don't have a lot of time to devote to this. What I do is review the news each day online instead of watching MSM propaganda news on TV or in newspapers because TV and newspapers are one direction propaganda. A person can't respond or interact with the author or consumers of the propaganda.
Online, one can quickly make a comment or ask a question and plant the seeds of doubt that will eventually yield a crop of better informed critical thinkers which is what this world needs desperately to build a better world for all of us.
So I like both the short term and long term approaches.
On Edit: There is value in adding to the global knowledge base. Everything we discuss online should be in pursuit of gaining knowledge and making life better for all mankind. Being civil even to those with which we disagree establishes a civility online that too often is lacking both online and in the real world. Creating dissension and discord is negative. It lowers our civility and does nothing to advance knowledge. It excites the emotions but dulls the intellect. So I would recommend that in these interactions people might consider these guidelines: 1) avoid emotional arguments that create dissent 2) elevate intellect, civility and honesty 3) promote the discovery of reality where ever that path might lead 4) promote the quest for truth, justice, accountability and liberty for the individual
The web never forgets what we say and how we behave. The world is watching.

Hey welcome to the forum David. I hope you'll stick around.
That being said, I disagreed with what you said here:

'Civility' is often a guise for passive-aggression. You look at any of the "crank" or "crackpot" indexes or scales that have been devised by the establishment and you can find for yourself the fact that mainstream scientists have automatically defined their opposition as lunatics. They maintain a facade of objectivity and skepticism and rationality, but they have defined those who question Relativity and Quantum as lunatics and they are passive enough with their criticisms that they call you crazy without ever explicitly stating it.
I think it's better to explicitly ridicule those who make idiotic arguments because idiocy and irrationality OUGHT to be ridiculed. Irrationality is a problem that should be addressed in a forthright manner. We SHOULD dissent and cause discord when the norm is irrational religions like mathematical physics poses as actual science.

You cannot pussyfoot around nonsense. Be direct....to the point....and have no respect for idiocy.

Hi, Mike,
civility: polite, reasonable, and respectful behavior ridicule: the act of making fun of someone or something in a cruel or harsh way : harsh comments made by people who are laughing at someone or something - Definitions from merriam-webster.com
It was just a suggestion. Everyone will engage debate in their own way.
I'm basically interested in seeing what I can learn about photons and the various theories to explain them. Nicholas made me aware of the RH/TT (rope hypothesis/thread theory) and suggested this forum in that regard. I'll be dropping in to The Rope Hypothesis section to discuss. See you over there.
